Owned and operated by the Arroyo-Rochte family, the Sloth Sanctuary is located in the 320-acre Aviarios del Caribe Private Reserve. We are legally classified as a wildlife reserve by the Costa Rican government and our governing body, MINAE. We do not receive subsidies nor are we recognized as a non-profit organization. Donations directly support the rescued sloths in our care and promote rainforest conservation awareness to protect wild sloths and the future of their species. Thank you for your support.
